Holliday with over 40 years of flying hunters in the bush.
- Who owns/operates
the business and aircraft?
Holliday Air is comprised of a group
of pilots who own their own Air Taxi Certificates, aircraft
and love to fly and experience the Alaska outdoors. Each
hunting season we work together under the name of Holliday
Air, owned by Terry Holliday with over 40 years of flying
hunters in the bush.
- What kind of planes
do we fly?
We operate a fleet of Super Cubs
and Cessna 185’s both wheels and floats with the
ability to take you where the best hunting is.
- Who flies the clients?
How long have we been flying?
Our guided hunts are done with pilot/guide
Tom Atkins of Tom’s Alaska Guide Service and guide
John Phipps of John’s Alaskan Adventure’s.
With many years of guiding experience we can offer truly
outstanding hunts with high success rates.
- How many clients
do we handle each season?
- What is the weight
limit for gear?
Please try to limit your weight
to 75 lbs. per person and keep bags and boxes as small

to their camps, and these planes do not have the space

your gun case at the airport until you return.

- Can a camped be
moved after a few days?
On all hunts we strive to check
on you every couple of days, weather permitting. We move
you as needed to keep you in good hunting areas, and we
try to get your meat into Iliamna as soon as we know you
have an animal down.
- How long is the
actual time in the field?
Each hunt varies see individual
packages for details.(NOTE: Alaska State law does not
allow flying & hunting on the same day).
- What is the best
time to hunt non-velvet bull caribou?
- What is the weather
typically?
Alaska’s weather is frequently
bad during the prime hunting seasons — strong winds,
heavy rain, snow, and fog are common in most areas. We
will fly whenever the weather allows us to fly safely.
Please allow enough time in your travel plans to account
for bad weather days. Be prepared for alternative accommodations
if the weather turns bad. This means having a good book
to read and the ability to pay for alternative accommodations
until the weather clears. Building in a few extra days
for bad weather is the best way to plan your trip.
- What are the lodging
options before and after your hunt?
It is sometimes necessary to overnight
in Illiamna before or after your hunt. There are a number
of Lodges, Inns and B&B's we work with. Extra services
required in Iliamna are at the hunters expense and are
not included in the price of your hunts.
- Is the hunting
area remote, and free of other hunters?
The areas we hunt are very remote,
we try and get you as close to the bulk of the game as
possible. Of course have no control over where other hunters/outfitters
may be.
- What type of payment
do we require/accept?
Payment: For any
services Holliday Air provides in Iliamna in the field

or Mastercard). Personal checks will be accepted for hunt
deposits only prior to the hunt as long as they have time
to clear the bank. All services are paid for prior to

confirm your reservations, unless other arrangements have
been made.
The balance is due prior to departure.

cancelled 30 days prior to departure date. There will
