We can Link you up to great Alaskan fishing! Smokin' Joe's Lodge Smokin Joe's Lodge is located on one of the most beautiful and picturesque spots on the Kenai River. The river flows gently in front of the Main Lodge with a beautiful tree laden island directly across. This affords not only a green belt as a viewing backdrop, but also a quiet and peaceful setting. You will be able to relax, fish or build a fire in the outdoor fire pit on the 30 foot circular deck overlooking the turquoise water of the Kenai River. An adjoining 17 foot deck provides boat mooring for your boarding convenience. The lodging for clients faces a quiet greenbelt with a canal running in front. It is not uncommon to see a Moose roaming around or Eagles soaring above. The four units are fully furnished and include a full kitchen and bath, (some with bath and one-half), living room, dining room and bedrooms that can accommodate up to six people. After all, Smokin Joe's wants you to feel as comfortable as you would in your own home. Click Here Blueberry Island Lodge Blueberry Island Lodge is located on the famous Kvichak (kwee-jack) River. The Kvichak River flows out of Lake Iliamna into Bristol Bay. Bristol Bay boasts the world's largest Sockeye Salmon (red salmon) migration with the Kvichak River having the largest escapement of all the Bristol Bay rivers. The lodge is located approximately one mile down river from Lake Iliamna, Alaska's largest fresh water lake. We are on an island locally called "Blueberry Island" hence the name of the lodge. Lake Iliamna drainage is classified as Alaska's "Trophy Rainbow Trout Area". It is not uncommon to hook into numbers of trout over 10 lbs. or have salmon pass under your feet by the thousands per hour. Here at Blueberry Island Lodge the services we offer differ from the normal Alaskan lodge experience. We want you to be in the driver's seat. If you want to be in control of your fishing trip, it can happen here. We can guide your whole stay if that is your wish or after the first day we can cut you loose to take control of your own fishing. We offer a comfortable bed (double occupancy room) and boat. We have four rooms available with two single beds each so we can accommodate parties up to eight. Guests will have the kitchen, cookware and utensils available to prepare their meals. There is guiding available and is mandatory for the first day for those who are new to the Kvichak River. The mandatory first day guiding will equip the fisherman with a working knowledge of the boat and safety features as well as the personality of the river at the time of the visit.
